Familias Unidas con Niņos con Necesidades Especiales (FUNNE) is an educational workshop for Spanish-speaking parents of children with disabilities. Presenting this month will be Denise Castillo, Dyslexia Certified Instructor with WILDD. During this presentation participants will learn more about the learning disorder and how early diagnosis and targeted treatment can help.

An Evening of Chocolate Decadence

Disability Advocacy Day

The Survival Coalition will be hosting Disability Advocacy Day in Madison at the state capitol in mid-March. Disability Advocacy Day connects advocates with their legislators, and gives individuals the opportunity to:

  • attend a briefing about current disability issues
  • plan their legislative visits with advocates from their district
  • meet with legislators to discuss issues important to them
  • debrief with Survival Coalition staff about their visits
  • discuss the next steps to stay in touch with their legislators
